Blues team news…
Dan Crowley and Kerim Mrabti remain sidelined with hamstring injuries. Maikel Kieftenbeld made his return from a long-term knee injury with a game for Blues Under-23s last Friday, but is likely to need more games before being considered for a return to the First Team. Loan signing Scott Hogan is ineligible to play for Blues in this round of the competition. Pep Clotet could also use the game as an opportunity to give game time to some of the Club’s younger players.

Broadcasting restrictions mean that we are unable to show tonight’s game live. Only audio commentary (included in UK and international subscriptions) will be available. Commentary will be provided by Jonathan Bell and former Blues striker Dele Adebola. For details about BluesTV, click here.
Match officials…
Darren Bond will take charge of tonight’s game. So far this season the Lancashire-based official has refereed 22 games, where he has produced a total of 77 yellow cards, one red, and awarded five penalties. The last Blues game he refereed was our Sky Bet Championship home fixture against QPR in December 2019. Blues lost that match 2-0 and there were four players cautioned; including Maxime Colin and Jacques Maghoma for the hosts. He has refereed 16 Blues games in total, with Blues winning nine of them, drawing four and losing just three. The last Coventry game he refereed was their League One home game against Chesterfield in September 2015. The Sky Blues won that game 1-0 and there were four players cautioned and one sent off. The only Coventry player to receive a yellow card in that game was Romain Vincelot. Mr Bond will be assisted on Tuesday by Michael George and Rob Smith with John Brooks acting as the fourth official.

Supporter message…
The Club urges all supporters to be responsible in their behaviour and actions. Birmingham City knows that the overwhelming majority of our supporters do not indulge in anti-social activities and are passionate about the players and the Club. We appreciate this.
We adopt a zero-tolerance stance on anti-social behaviour and spectator misconduct. This includes – amongst other things – drunkenness, throwing of missiles and use and carrying of pyrotechnics (flares, smoke bombs), racist and/or homophobic chanting.
Pitch encroachment is forbidden and against the law. Please DO NOT encroach onto the pitch. Any person found to be encroaching on the pitch will automatically be served with a banning order – regardless of the circumstances.
It is important that bottles, coins, flares and other items not thrown at our matches. Again, we would like to thank the overwhelming majority of supporters for their backing and their understanding.
